Ship-based science air support

- A government-funded scientific operator needed independent assurance that a contracted helicopter operator was suitable for ship-based science support in a remote maritime environment — against a hard sailing date.

- A full operator suitability assessment covering AOC scope, SMS maturity, emergency response and management engagement, with a clear recommendation set agreed directly with the programme manager.

Registry RBO/PBO framework

- A European offshore aircraft registry sought a credible, resourced path from prescriptive oversight to risk-based and performance-based regulation.

Airtight Aviation Services was founded in 2016 on a simple premise: the best regulatory advice comes from people who have sat on both sides of the table. Seventeen years of demanding helicopter operations worldwide, followed by seven years inside the UK Civil Aviation Authority as a Flight Operations Inspector, produced a rare combination — an operator’s instinct for what actually works, and a regulator’s discipline for what will stand up.
Today AASL works for civil aviation authorities, aircraft registries, government departments, training organisations and operators across four continents. Every deliverable — from an operator suitability assessment to a one-day course — is produced to the same controlled-document standard, because in this business the paperwork is not admin.
